This morning I was reading in the last of 2 Corinthians. It said,
Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. (TNIV) 13:11
"Striving for full restoration” jumped off the page at me.
Full restoration is my prayer for my ex-husband’s life. Full restoration of his relationship with God. His relationship with me. His relationship with his children.
Sure, it would be great if one of those happened. But, that is not “full restoration”. Not in my mind. Full restoration is everything.
Full restoration makes me think of what happened to King Nebuchadnezzar
“At the same time that I was given back my mind, I was also given back my majesty and splendor, making my kingdom shine. All the leaders and important people came looking for me. I was reestablished as king in my kingdom and became greater than ever. And that's why I'm singing—I, Nebuchadnezzar—singing and praising the King of Heaven:
"Everything he does is right,
and he does it the right way.
He knows how to turn a proud person
into a humble man or woman."Daniel 4:36-37 (Msg)
King Neb, he got it all back when he was humbled… and then some. That is my prayer.

Oh, you know I love King Neb and his story in Daniel. Reminds me of Job and how God gave back to him double or triple. I can never remember which. I need to look it up and TRY to get it straight once and for all.
Thanks for the reminder to check this site.
Wow... I just found your blogs and I've been pouring over some of your posts over the past hour. Girl, you are an amazing person. I want you to know that I am also going to pray for full restoration in your life and in your marriage. I am praying for life in you and your family... thank you for choosing to speak life over the broken things. You've reminded me what real covenant commitment looks like.
Praying...
